The great depression, which caused many people to move from their native lands, led Emilio and Assunta Buonincontri and their family, away from their hometown of Pouzzuoli, Italy, to Brooklyn New York in search of a better life. Being a construction worker in Italy, Emilio continued to work in the construction business in Brooklyn. After taking a nasty spill from a three-story building, and because of his love for fine cuisine, Emilio purchases Enzo's Pizza in Budd Lake In 1976. Before their move from Italy, Emilio and Assunta had a son, Ernesto, In October of 1960 and a daughter, Anna, in April of 1963. They would soon play a large part in the running of Enzo's as well as Ernie and Dom's, which was purchased in 1989. Coming from the same town of Pouzzuoli, Dominic Coppolca, a friend of the Buonincontri Family, asked if he could work for him in the United States. In September of 1978, Dominic began working for the Buonincontri's and soon married Anna in 1983. The rest is history! Using nothing less than the finest ingredients, Enzo's Ristorante and Pizzeria services the local areas as if cooking for a very large extended family, We hope to see you soon!
